Austin Jazz Artists is a collective that works to promote, book and develop innovative music coming out of Austin, TX. We are a group of Texas musicians that play throughout the state and are also seen on stages around the world with various other artists. No one is as close to these talented artists as we are, so we book our artists throughout the world in a touring package or on our own as individual artists. We invite you to see who we are and what we are developing here in the Lone Star State.

RED YOUNG AND HIS HOT HORNS

RED YOUNG AND HIS HOT HORNS are Austin’s newest blues, soul & jazz supergroup, bringing new life to the music of Ray Charles, Count Basie, Percy Mayfield, Joe Williams and Jimmy Witherspoon with a high octane five piece horn section.

Featuring an all-star rhythm section (Red Young - Vocals & Hammond B3 Organ, Brannen Temple - drums, Nick Clark - acoustic bass), and backed by a blazing horn section (Mike Malone - tenor saxophone, Bennett Wood - alto saxophone, Daniel Robinson - alto saxophone, Steve Butts and David Young - trumpets), RED YOUNG AND HIS HOT HORNS have made enough noise at Antone’s to earn itself a residency at the world famous Antone’s Nightclub on Thursday nights.

Black Red Black

Black Red Black is an organ trio featuring Ephraim Owens on trumpet, Red Young on Hammond B3 organ and Brannen Temple on drums. BRB sometimes features special guests like Shelley Carrol on sax, or Gary Clarke, Jr. on guitar. Straight ahead soul, traditional jazz and original music.
